How to Blog Day 19. Write an Opinion Post.
Day 19 from 31 Days To Build A Better Blog tells us to write an opinion post. The majority of my posts have an opinion on them, so I don’t find this the most enlightening chapter.
The book tells us a few hints on how to give an opinion to spark discussion. You shouldn’t be afraid of controversy. Without some controversy, your blog will be bland. On the same note, respect other’s opinions and try to learn from them.
Try to back your opinion up with facts, but you may want to wait until after the discussion is started. Someone may have an opinion, but when you base yours on what you consider “facts” right off, they will feel that your opinion is already set in stone because you believe your resource more than there’s anyhow. If you do throw in resources to back your opinion up, you may want to ask where others would still not believe those resources.
