How to Blog Day 15 – Find a Blog Buddy
Today’s lesson in 31 Days To Build A Better Blog is to find a blog buddy.
The chapter goes into telling you the benefits of teamwork. You can share ideas, communities, links, etc. This is all fine, but I fear they may send some into the the wrong direction.
Do not find a situation where you do all of the work. I’ve landed in this situation more than a few times. All that you want here is someone on the same level that wants to share some ideas. You don’t want to head down the path of partnerships. You want to spend as much time as possible creating content. Don’t get sucked into a situation where you’re helping someone with graphics, WordPress setups, technical snags, etc. If your buddy can take directions from a post and figure out their technical setups, that’s fine, but never get yourself into a free technical guru situation. If you do, to much time will be spent on their setups and not enough on your content development.
I’m going to do some searching at the collaboration section of the Problogger website to see if there is anyone to match my idea of a blog buddy. Not looking good so far. The last request for a buddy is like 10 months old! Looks like I got the book a little late.
