Government Scams

Our government gets into dirty deals all of the time. Here’s just a few that I’ve found worthy of tracking.

Shocking Food Stamps Usage Data

Here’s a link that shows food stamp usage across the United States. The data is very revealing about how many people are claiming that they need help from the government to feed their family.

ABC and Obama Team Up to Create a Diversion

On an ABC News “exclusive” Obama states his “evolving” position on gay marriage. My first thought was, “Shut the hell up and clean up the mess you’ve made.”.

We’re what, 17 trillion in debt? I’ve lost count. We’re past the point of screwed and the dollar is becoming more worthless everyday. 100 million out of 300 million working age Americans either can’t, won’t, or don’t work. This website puts it a 36.4%. With numbers like that, it’s to many to count anyhow. The point is we’re in deep trouble. Trouble that should scare the hell out of us. What does ABC and Obama want to talk about, gay marriage. Sonofabitch.

Yep, gay marriage trumps the other stuff. That’s what our fine President wants to talk to us about in these times of trouble. A legal contract that hasn’t changed for a couple of hundred years on the books, that’s the problem. I’m surprised he isn’t telling us that it will create more jobs by requiring more preachers to be available for the ceremonies and more lawyers to handle the divorces.

I got into a few discussions about it. First, the goal is obvious; they want to change the culture and language and simply changing the definition of what marriage means is an easy big step. The second goal is to gain voters by claiming this issue is the moral and upright thing to do and if you’re against it, you hate gay people. Nobody wants to be thought of that way, so they’ll feel pressured to hop on that bandwagon. It makes a mockery of Christianity, so that’s a plus for Obama. It’s an all out sham that will turn up the political heat in general and Obama checked which way the wind will blow and figures it’s in his favor. So, from now until the election, we’ll be hearing about this while the country continues it’s nosedive.

I’m taking a Libertarian view on it and this guy states that view best. In order for government to quit using marriage as a tool to control the masses, they need to just get the hell out of it. Let people enter into contracts and have government do the job of enforcing them. Leave the religious aspects to the church. I can’t find any fault in this angle on the matter.

We’ll never see this happen. Liberals can’t see past their noses on this issue and I think they enjoy the damage they’re doing by stirring this pot. Republicans, see it as a way to look like they actually have moral fortitude on an issue. Everyone loses in the end. I find it interesting that anyone cares what Obama thinks about the issue anyhow. He’s powerless until a Republican controlled Congress puts a bill on his desk. But hey, if they want to talk about marriage law instead of the carnage his Presidency created, he’s all for that!

Was Ted Nugent Targeted by Obama?

Ted Nugent isn’t one of my favorite folks. He’s an outstanding musician, a humorous side-show wherever he speaks, and a great outdoorsman. For what he does for a living, entertaining, he’s outstanding at his craft. Where I find fault in him is that he’s a Chicken Hawk. He’s always showboating the firepower he has, always talking big about war, but he dodged the draft when it was his time to serve.

I don’t have a problem with draft dodgers. If they were to yellow, to sickly, to worried about problems at home, disagreed with the government, or whatever, that’s their decision. There’s enough patriots to fill this minority’s void. If a person makes that decision, they need to just keep their opinions about the military to themselves though, especially in the presence of those that have. Nugent completely crossed the line when I seen him showboating with disabled Vets and instead of taking the backseat to real heroes, he continued with his showboating. I just lost any respect for him.

Recent events have brought Nugent to the spotlight that make me just shake my head in disbelief. Nugent starts grandstanding at an NRA event saying that he’ll be dead or in jail if Obama gets re-elected. Really? Now he’s going to take his patriotism to a level that he’s willing to die or be imprisoned for his country? I don’t buy it, but it sounds good to the crowds I guess. A real patriotic tough guy. Maybe he’s telling the truth. Maybe now that he has children and a hell of a lot of stuff to lose, he sees things a little different than he did in his college days. If that were true though, he’d come up with a better solution than supporting Romney.

So, after he makes his anti-Obama statement, Obama, another one that never served, takes offense. No threat was made to him, he just wanted to steal a little of that spotlight and make his power known. He finds an obscure Alaska law and used federal power to get it enforced against Nugent. Nugent pleads guilty and they fine him $10,000. All of this is to be expected from a politician used to doing it the Chicago way.

Here’s the strange part of Nugent’s punishment. He’s being forced to run a public service announcement on his TV show.

Nugent is also required to produce and broadcast, at his own expense, a 30 to 60 second Public Service Announcement (PSA) discussing a hunter’s responsibility for knowing the rules and regulations of the hunting activities that a hunter takes part in. The PSA is subject to prior approval by a representative of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Alaska, and once approved will air for one calendar year, every other week on the “Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild” television show.

He was charged for breaking a law that nobody has ever been charged with before. It was an obscure and buried law that The State Of Alaska wouldn’t even waste their time with. It’s obvious that this punishment is to set an example to anyone who speaks out against Obama. They want public humiliation and they’re taunting anyone who speaks against their best wishes.

It’s kind of obvious to me that Obama used his federal power to ensure that Nugent was snagged and humiliated. Of all of the things this country is dealing with, big-mouth showboat Nugent hits the top of their list?

The Patterns of Fear Mongering

John Stroud, Heath, Ohio rest home escapee.

Take a look at this photo. They are of the same person. A mentally disabled person stricken by brain cancer named John Stroud. He’s got a pretty sad story and the Newark Advocate, 10TV, and every other media outlet that had a chance at the story just made it worse.

From the unreliable usual media sources I’ve read, Mr. Stroud tried to commit suicide by cop a while back. They do not provide any details of substance about how far his cancer had went, but he was found unable to stand trial after the incident. He shot at police officers and their return fire hit him in the knee. If he shot at officers in Ohio and was found not able to stand trial, I would make a very safe bet that he truly was mentally disabled.

Stroud was placed in a rest home in Heath, Ohio. He was placed in a ward where their concern was that he was a danger to himself. He was allowed to leave the facility with visitors. He was also disabled with a severe limp from where he’d been shot. He escaped the facility through a window and large-scale manhunt for a dangerous murderer followed.

The Advocate first released the top photo of much younger and healthier man with nothing more than a warning that he was charged with attempted murder. That’s an eye-catching headline and any person of common sense would take note of the warning.

I noticed more law enforcement in the area than ever. You couldn’t travel more than a few blocks without seeing officers. State Highway Patrol helicopters were in the air. Everyone was on the alert and searching for this supposed highly dangerous person.

Later in the evening, the lower photo came out. It’s obvious from the photo that Mr. Stroud had deteriorated into much less of threat than was being portrayed in the news.

Law enforcement found him just a few miles away in a field. He hadn’t harmed anyone and was starting to get hypothermia.

Like most, I only know what I’ve read, but the story is troublesome and raises quite a few questions. Why the hype? Who benefited?

I really don’t want to think this, but I find it VERY hard to believe that a multi-agency search, with air capabilities, couldn’t find a disabled man who lacked the ability to run. If that’s true, that worries me. If it’s not true, did they know where he was at and just play along with the media coverage that they were getting? Either way, it’s a puzzling scenario.

I do thank The Advocate for their coverage as it provided quite a bit of humor. Their hype is so poorly written that it’s hard to believe a word of it. Look at how this story spiraled from a huge danger to a barely functioning mentally disabled person.

The pattern of this is something to think about every time a news story comes out. It’s a pattern that is happening more often. A manufactured problem, a manufactured reaction, and for this one, we’ll have to see what the solution to this is soon. I’m sure it will be more laws, costing more money, and benefiting government agencies at the taxpayer’s expense.

Obamacare Cost Estimates Off by $17 TRILLION!

HR3590-Patient-Protection-and-Affordable-Care-...

Congressman Jeff Sessions is claiming that the the claimed costs of Obamacare is grossly underestimated.

I’d believe him too! Sessions is still crazy enough to be worried about Social Security and Medicare, 2 other programs that we can’t afford either. I bet his figures are still under too.

Consider that Obamacare would completely destroy a Treasury Bond. Nobody, nobody is going to invest in this country when they know that the Obamacare obligations are going to clean us out.

After seeing this and so many other claims about the true costs, it would be my assumption that Obamacare was actually designed to destroy our economy. It’s almost inconceivable that so many would support legislation that is certain to crush us. All they needed was a false promise of freebies.

Obama’s NDER. Read It.

Here’s the new National Defense Resource Preparedness executive order

You should read it. No need for my interpretation, it’s easy to understand.

Still think we have a Constitution?

SOPA, More Problem, Reaction, Solution.

I’ve been trying to get a grasp on SOPA. I haven’t said much about it for lack of a full understanding. Then, I seen the video below. As annoying as this guy is, he’s got it right. It’s the same routine that I see so often of “Problem, Reaction, Solution”. Here’s how SOPA works.

  1. Major media players support, promote, and distribute file sharing software through their websites like C|Net. They did this for many years. There’s the problem.
  2. They cry foul that their content is being distributed on the software that they promoted in the first place. Here’s their victim status reaction.
  3. Then for the solution, the lobby for SOPA that will destroy the competition on the web that is currently scaring the bejesus out of them. Nearly every form of major media has lost many of their audience.

Now that all major media outlets are consolidated and controlled, it’s time to put a stop to their competition. They think they’ve given us all enough rope that they can now hang us with some new laws and return to their former monopolized greatness.

The only good that I can see from all of this is that maybe, must maybe, people can see that the “Problem, creation, solution” business is not just a conspiracy theory, it happens over and over again. Look at Penn State for example. Look at Obamacare! Health insurance companies are the most heavily regulated business there is, yet government is going to fix the problems that they create? Maybe SOPA will get people streetwise to what is being done to their freedoms.

Watch and share this video.

And So It Starts. A Rich Liberal Deciding That He’s Got a Better Form of Government.

At first, this guy, Lawrence Lessig, seems compelling. He’s realized that corruption is rampant in Washington. Brilliant. But then, he follows the only thing he knows. He drifts into the idea that government can fix government with more government. He completely dismisses any ideas from the founders that a government limited in it’s powers cannot reach the absurd levels of corruption that we have today.  He even is so brilliant that he’s discovered that Democrats and Republicans work together on legislation that robs us and leaves makes these non-producers incredibly wealthy. Bravo! Not one mention of damaging social programs designed to make people dependent on the government.

Where does a man with this much brilliance come from? Of course, Harvard Law School. He explains the problem as if it’s something he’s discovered. He teaches the lawyers that will inevitably end up as politicians how to play the game!! While he’s describing the problem, he’s confessing to the methods that his school teaches. He’s following their recipe; Create the problem, stir a reaction(which is what this speech is doing), and he wants to provide a solution. This solution involves redefining what a Republic is and how it operates.

At the end, he discusses how the Valdez was wrecked by a known drunk. He says that part of the problem was that nobody said anything. It may be true for the Valdez, but it’s not for our corrupt government. Everyone is saying something. Everyone is saying something. The businesses and politicians themselves are actually boasting about their insane levels of corruption.

Although it’s refreshing to see a Liberal recognizing a real problem, it’s frightening that he’s mixing with wealthy and influential people to push his agenda. He speaks of returning the Republic to an effective state, but makes no mention of the methods and ideals that made it successful in the first place.

This is a very long speech, but well worth it if you try to understand what is really being said here. I consider this guy an alarm bell. He’s trying to convince us that another form of more government. The good news is that he’s a Liberal that’s accepted demise. When they lose they want to “find common ground”. That means they want to regroup and try to nudge us a little closer to the edge of the cliff. They’re out of steam. Liberals like him know they’ve run out of other people’s money to spend.

Here’s the speech.

Another Lesson on the Federal Reserve

There are so many lessons on how the Federal Reserve works that we should all be experts, but after watching the Occupy Wall Street protesters and watching the Republican debates it’s evident that the majority of people lack an understanding. You’re not stupid if you don’t understand it. The premise is intentionally confusing and the reality does sound so ridiculous that it sounds like a conspiracy theory.

Federal reserve police car, St. Louis, MO

Looks Federal right? It's a privately own security vehicle owned by The Federal Reserve.

Give it a few hours of study, write down the questions you have that make it seem unbelievable, then search for anything that tries to debunk what you’ve been told. You’re going to find that even those in strong favor of the Federal Reserve are going to tell you that it works the same way that those in opposition tell you. The two sides do not argue about how it works at all! The differences of opinion come down to one thing and that is whether centralized power is good or bad. Those for centralized power claim that the Federal Reserve stops the wild fluctuations of the economy where a gold based currency can fluctuate more. Those against the Federal Reserve claim that it’s being used to enslave everyone with overwhelming debt to force us to the will of a global centralized power.

Here’s one more lesson from David Icke. His explanation of how the Federal Reserve works is excellent. His conspiracy theory, I’ll let you decide. He does leave the begging question of who “they” are a little vague. I still haven’t figured out exactly who “they” are, but I’m getting a really good idea. Feel free to ignore that part, but please, DO learn how the Federal Reserve works. All political efforts of any kind are a complete waste of time unless you understand these basic principles about The Fed.

How Stupid Are We?

Take That, Birthers

Image by Jason DeRusha via Flickr

Something very noticeable lately is our inability to look at very recent history. The excitement of now clouds the memory of yesterday.

Here’s one I noticed that’s just incredibly scary. Jones specializes in dramatizing even the most of mundane of small facts to form a conspiracy theories. Even he notices how ridiculous the release of Obama’s forged birth certificate was. The importance here is not whether or not Obama is a U.S. citizen, it’s the ridiculous forgery that was presented. It could be a fake version of the real thing. The point is that it’s so ridiculous that even the most novice of millions of Photoshop users can see what was done. Obama was enjoying the argument about his lack of a birth certificate. It’s a tool for him to make his naysayers look foolish. No matter how you look at it, this is deceptive.  They released that around late April 20011.

On May 1st, 2011, Osama Bin Laden is killed right? A super secret raid by a super secret SEAL unit kills him, takes his body to a ship, then dumps it in the ocean after a DNA analysis is performed in record time. There’s even a downed chopper in the raid. Ok. That’s all the average Joe knows and he only knows that’s what news sources tell him. Obama came out and told us so too. The same guy willing to put together a Photoshop document that is very clearly manipulated tells us, so you have to believe him right? Got any questions, then you’re a conspiracy theorist whack job. Who are you to ask questions? They’re telling you what happened on TV for the love of Pete. It’s real handy that this news came immediately after the release of the birth certificate.

The premise for the war in Afghanistan was that we were trying to kill Bin Laden. If they killed him and had no viable way of proving to the public that it did happen, I would have believe a story telling us that Bin Laden was no longer a threat and that we were leaving Afghanistan. We’re not. We were never given information about who the new threat is that we are there for either. We’re just staying.

Then, I see that Diebold voting machines are easy enough to be hacked by middle school student with a few dollars worth of parts. Ok, no big deal. How would someone stand around a poll rigging the contraption without an entire crowd noticing? Probably not conceivable. Stupid that they made them this way, but what are the chances of someone doing this without being arrested. Then, I see for a few dollars more, you can hack them with a wireless connection.

First there was this hack -

Then, Argonne National Labs comes out with this.

I can’t think of any purpose that voting machines should be made with the ability for a remote connection. They can be made so proprietary that it would be very difficult to do this type of hack. It is as if they clearly want people to hack the machines.

These are just a few things that come to mind that have recently been in the news. When anyone brings them up, they get ridiculed! Things that anyone of average intelligence would question are treated as stupid questions. Look at the way just these 3 events went.

  • The birth certificate doesn’t really matter. He’s there. They’re not going to revoke the election. It’s trivial at this point.
  • Bin Laden is killed. Again, trivial in the big picture, but more serious. Think about how much money has been spent and lives lost under the claim that we were trying to find him.
  • We find that it’s very simple to rig an election with almost no evidence of tampering. Our entire government very possibly could very well have been created with rigged elections. This could easily be brought up and any future election declared a fraud due to the lack of security.

It’s alarming that nothing is done about any of this. Nobody cares. I would think that the Diebold folks would have some serious explaining to do. I’d think anyone that passed the voting machines as a secure part of the election process would have some serious questions to answer. Just like the birth certificate and tale of Bin  Laden’s death, there’s nothing. It’s swept under the rug and it’s onto the next disputable piece of news.

These few events prove to me that they are just flaunting how smart they are and how dumb the general public is. Are they right?  These news events always leave people arguing with a set of facts that cannot possibly be proved. The problem is the obviously deceptive facts seem to be laid out on purpose. Yes, Obama could have a real birth certificate, but if you believe that, you still cannot deny the deceptive actions done in presenting it. Bin Laden? If it did happen the way they claim, they still revealed the SEAL team and endangered their lives for no reason then. Voter machines? Please. Diebold has made very secure ATM’s for MANY years and this is what they come up with? We have no possible way to have access to definite truths, but if we can’t see the deception, we are either collectively stupid or we just don’t care.
