Napolitano Tells Afghans All About to Secure Borders.
One could mistake this post about Janet Napolitano telling the Afghans how to secure borders as a joke on The Onion. You can almost see Karzai giving the obligatory nods and winks to the reporters. This is rich!
One has to wonder what our “homeland” security secretary is doing in Afghanistan anyhow. That’s not the “homeland”. I guess she hasn’t noticed our own border problems. I feel sorry for the vets that are not only dealing with a war, but also dealing with a visit from the woman who claims that returning veterans are actually a threat to our nation’s security.
The only good that could come from this is that Karzai and others may be able to explain to Janet Napolitano why borders are necessary, something that she fails to understand in her homeland.

Government Gives Small Hocking County, Ohio Town Crap.
This is an incredible story about the arrogance and ignorance of the EPA versus the ingenuity of a small, poor, Hocking County town. For a story about shit, there are some important lessons. In summary, the good folks of Murray City, Ohio have not had a need for a sewage system because an old coal mine provides an acidic environment that naturally destroys bacteria. They’ve been using it for over 100 years and residents say the town has never stunk.
The EPA has decided that they really need a 3 million dollar sewage system anyhow. It’s the law, so they need one. EPA tests show that the levels of contamination are below acceptable limits, but that doesn’t change the fact that there is a law against not having a 3 million dollar sewage system. Is the EPA there because there is a problem? Are people getting sick? Is there a danger that people could get sick? No! It’s just there to create a problem that these folks lack the funds to fix.
I do smell something down there, but it’s not sewage, it’s a rat. Many of these residents have mineral rights and there is an abundant amount of natural gas in the area. Large companies are walking all over these people to get them to sell off. Gas drilling is starting to contaminate the water wells of residents in many locations. The more people that they can drive out of the area, the fewer people that can sue them for their damage to the water supply. My bet is that the EPA is helping for obvious reasons.

Afghanistan. The Only Sensible Ideas I’ve Heard.
After listening to Steven Pressfield, I believe that there are 2 options for Afghanistan, agree with the ideas in this video, or an all-out bloody stomping of the entire country.
The all-out bloody stomping is not going to happen. The world will not stand for it. The only other solution would be what Mr. Pressfield is discussing. Sadly, I don’t think his ideas will ever happen. It’s just not in our politicians or political parties will to make these ideas come to reality. Without one of these two options, I fear we will lose this battle.
Role of God With the Forefathers of the United States
There’s been much talk about how the forefathers were not believers of God. That’s all I’ve ever heard about the subject
from those how subscribe to the Godless idea, talk. The evidence is always lacking and they only have a few snippets from the country’s forefather’s writings to make their point with. There are volumes that say otherwise and here is a great conversation on The Glenn Beck Show to prove otherwise . “Glenn Beck? He’s a crazy man!”. I can hear it now. I’m glad they put out a transcript to the show because it condensed everything for everyone and eases the conversation on the topic.
What I find crazy is listening to college professors who use books with no or very few references and then founding your belief on them. Here’s a transcript of the Glenn Beck Show about religion and the Forefathers.
Follow the references and you’ll see that the argument that the majority of the Forefathers were indeed God fearing men, holds a lot of weight and volumes of evidence. I would say that they were enlightened by the Father himself to found America with a specific purpose in world history, but I understand that’s a bit much for folks that can’t get past the almighty preachings of their enlightened liberal professors. Sorry. I know that Liberal education was pricey, but not all of it was worth the student loan payment.
Diversity Causing False Sense of Content or Just a Good Excuse?

- Multi-ethnic group portrait from Yuri Arcurs Website
This story about the U.S. Army’s Terrorist, Nidal Hassan is infuriating. I’m not sure many people who are Veterans understand just how ridiculous the whole Fort Hood terrorist attack has been. The article states,
“The picture emerging from the information examined by investigators is one of supervisors who didn’t heed their own warnings about an officer ill-suited to be an Army psychiatrist.”
In most occupations, this would get you fired. It would get one jailed in some jobs if it came to light that you “ignored your own warnings”. In the Army, it should get you court-martialed swiftly. Not only should it get you jailed, it should get any chain of command that protected you jailed. If I recall General Casey stated that the threat to diversity was greater than the loss of the attack! I see this as protecting the attacker and his accomplices because he’s trying to minimize the justified animosity towards the enemy. He’s comforting the enemy.
To give someone who’s not a Vet an idea of the punishments doled out to everyone who does not hold a special place in the heart of diversity, I’ll give you an idea.
As a Specialist, I was accused of leaving a vehicle unlocked. The truth of the matter was that there was no way I could or should have been held responsible. I was nowhere near the vehicle when it was left unlocked and there were written records to prove it. A Sergeant protecting himself said I did to protect HIS rank. I always believed that characters like this have it coming to them and in the end he got his from other sources. I just took the punishment and drove on. I did lose one rank over something this minor incident. The Sergeant would have lost one rank if he had told the truth. That’s how much discipline the Army has at times.
A First Lieut. was told to produce his code book. He reached for it, said, “Oh no, I left it in the track in my duffle bag. I left it in my pants when I changed.” The code books are highly guarded, even in peace time. Though a big deal, it wasn’t in danger of truly being lost or stolen at any point. He was forced to resign after 6 years in the Army as an Officer.
So you see how tough it can get to keep and hold a position in the Army? I had a friend stationed in Fort Hood tell me that they are giving serious punishment for anyone who even mentions that Hassan was a terrorist or a Muslim. Hassan never had a problem stating that he was either. He put it on his business cards!
The Army is in serious danger for the chain of command blowing this off in the name of diversity. The politicians and the news are assisting as well. Everyone connected to him that “ignored their own warning signs” should be on charges and awaiting trial, but instead they are disciplining soldiers that speak the obvious about the attack and our politicians don’t see a problem with it.
God bless these soldiers who must endure this type of treatment. Everyone needs to speak up for these soldiers. They’re not allowed to speak for themselves. Most likely, Hassan’s fellow Officers were afraid to speak for fear of losing their jobs and we see what that led to. Do anything you can think of to help in this matter. Write your Senators and Congressmen. Talk to your media. Write a blog. Every little bit helps.
Detroit – Why Can’t Others See the Example They’ve Set?
Detroit has always been a shining example of what bad government and union policies are capable of. In my younger years I spent alot of time in this fair city and I would ponder how in the hell it became what it was. I followed it over the years and I easily noticed that there was no influence from the right anywhere. Policies that were in line with the rest of the country just did not exist.
So if it’s all the Liberal’s fault, why aren’t other Liberal cities in shambles as well. That’s the problem, they will be soon. Detroit didn’t happen overnight. It took years of nudging it to the left to make this happen. Blaming this on the auto industry’s decline only points back to the UAW. You can’t find a trace of right wing agenda’s in the decline anywhere. And today, Detroit is still begging for yet more government intervention. Like a drug addict slipping away, they are still begging for more.
There are no examples that I can thing of where the right has hurt an area. West Virginia’s mountains? Try again, the left is all over that place. Senator Byrd’s signature is on everything in the state. I think I’ve seen toilets named “The Senator Byrd Crapper” if I’m not mistaken. Can someone show one totally Republican major area devasted by right wing policies?
I’m not stating that Republicans don’t do harm, but destroying an entire major city along with it’s industry’s, only the left can stake that claim with Detroit.
Licking County Sheriff Nearly Crashes Using Laptop While Driving
A Licking County Sheriff almost made the news yesterday using his laptop while driving. He was in one of the Sheriff department’s luxurious SUV’s checking license plates while driving through Granville, Ohio. His attention to his laptop screen brought him to a screeching halt just inches from the bumper of the Mercedes in front of him.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate cell phone use while driving. This stunt is more dangerous than drunk driving and it’s widely excepted. Now, even our law enforcement cannot keep their eyes off of their laptop while they drive! A laptop for crying out loud! I am waiting to hear the comment that I hear about cell phones, “I can handle it fine, you just can’t multi-task.”
There’s no argument I’ve ever heard that has proven to me that use of electronic personal devices is not dangerous. I do not care about statistics. In this case the cliche’ “There’s lies, damn lies, and statistics”, holds true. How many people that cause an accident are going to state that they did it because they were on the cell phone? Who is going to be dumb enough to open themselves up for no defense like that? Where is the proof going to be that they were on the cell phone? Police are not going to check their usage times against the accident time. This would only occur once an accident has went to trial.
The argument for this deputy is going to be that he was catching criminals with the computer and that I should be thankful for his service to us. He didn’t go after any criminals after this check, and if he did, he would have had to do it most likely with a mess in his drawers. Of course, I’m not against Deputies catching bad guys, I’m against them crashing into people while looking for them. I’m for not having to pay disability to an officer after he injures himself doing such nonsense.
Think I’m overstating the problem? Here’s a link to an accident with an officer in Jacksonville, Florida where it was a big problem. This officer hit a gasoline tanker!
I encourage everyone to get off of the phones, computers, mp3 players, and whatever other gadget while driving. Nothing is going to occur on these devices that is more important than safe driving. Your phone has voice mail, use it. It’s not bad manners to drive instead of talk.
Sharpton’s Baggage: Nearly $1.5M in Unpaid Taxes
photo credit: cyvancefordaSharpton’s Baggage: Nearly $1.5M in Unpaid Taxes – Government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that civil rights leader Al Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties [Fox News Headlines]
Why do these people who demand that everyone pays higher taxes to support their special groups never pay their own taxes? Why don’t their followers see what the hypocrisy that they have fallen into? Not only does Al Sharpton not pay taxes, he is very wealthy! He is a member of the group that he wants to pay more taxes!
I suppose he claims that the taxes are unfair and racist.
Yes, the right has hypocrisy too. Bush spends our money like a drunken sailor and claims to be conservative for example, but most conservatives are the first to point this out. You never hear the libs make mention of his hypocratic foolishness.
Will we ever have a politician that has principles, sticks to them, and follows the Constitution?
Suicide Notes of Deborah Jean Palfrey Released
Suicide Notes of Deborah Jean Palfrey Released – “D.C. Madam” Deborah Jean Palfrey wrote suicide notes to her mother and sister explaining that she hanged herself because she couldn’t bear the thought of a future in prison. [Fox News Headlines]
This makes no sense. Anybody involved in something like this always does a short time in prison, then proceeds to get wealthy beyond their wildest dreams with books, movies, etc. about their memoirs. If the notes had stated she was ashamed for what she had done, that would make sense, but just being scared of being broke?
I could be wrong and I don’t have sympathy for her. She played with fire and got burnt. Plus, she got very wealthy with misdeeds. This will go down in history as another mysterious suicide connected to politics.
Health Board Dismisses Smoking Violation Fine
Health board dismisses smoking violation fine – MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Board of Health held its monthly meeting on Wednesday evening. Some major items on the agenda were an administrative review of a fine due to violation of the smoking ban, solid waste nuisances

and two residences possibly unfit for human habitation. [Mount Vernon News]
There you go, the health Nazis are at it again. The smelled smoke, so an establishment is supposed to be guilty. Granted it was overturned, but what a hassle. How could anyone serve on a board that accepts a law was setup to fine people without any evidence of breaking a law? How is a barowner supposed to enforce the law? They don’t have the power to remove someone from the premises for refusing to obey the law. They would risk a lawsuit if they forcibly removed them, especially if the person claimed injury from the removal.
It’s easy to say smoking shouldn’t be allowed, but why do we need a law? If you don’t smoke, they’re coming for you next. Why I never liked having donuts in the office. They made me fat and they’re bad for you. I think we need a law for that and I had better not smell donuts or see crumbs laying around either!
