Ron Paul Makes His Stand on Chicken Hawks
This is one of the most important charges Ron Paul has made and it’s a point that pissed me off ever since I can remember paying attention to politics.

Chicken Hawks are a nasty breed of animals. They do not serve themselves and make all sorts of excuses for why the didn’t. That’s not so bad. Lots of people don’t serve for one reason or another. What makes Chicken Hawks bad is that they take it a step further by not even bothering to demand a Declaration of War before sending troops to die. They are willing to hang everyone else’s ass out on the line to satisfy their whims, but they wouldn’t dream of doing it themselves. They don’t take the careful considerations required and abide by the Constitution to put others in harms way because they have no idea of the gravity of their actions. They don’t understand the sacrifices others will make on both sides of the conflict. When you trace the money, they are always invested or have deep interest in the companies profiting from the actions too.
We need to root out these folks and Ron Paul did a fine job with Newt Gingerich. His logic applies to Obama, Santorum, Romney, and every other politician that is much more than willing to send troops to battle in undeclared actions that they themselves would never do.
And by the way, Iraq was not a declared war. It was a resolution by Congress that authorized the use of force in Iraq. It was severely limited and those limitations drew out the war for many years and caused the needless deaths of many Americans. In a declared war, the government is required to apply full efforts to winning the war.
It’s clear that this really gets Ron Paul flustered and rightfully so. I’ve been doing some research on Chicken Hawks and I found that Donald Trump received 5 deferments, so that’s probably who Paul is referring to with 5. This post explains Gingrich’s position. He had deferments by default being a student and children, but that doesn’t mean he could not have been called up(I don’t know of any record showing he was) and he certainly could have joined BEFORE he had children. Ron Paul isn’t faulting him for the deferments, he’s faulting him for supporting undeclared wars when he himself wouldn’t fight in one when he had the opportunity.
So, who am I rooting for? Certainly not any Chicken Hawks. Rick Perry isn’t a Chicken Hawk, he served, but he lacks the experience and knowledge of The Constitution that Ron Paul has.

Ohio Offers Veterans a Stamp on Their Driver’s Licenses
The State of Ohio, in coordination with the Veterans Administration and the Department Of Public Safety, have started a program to allow Veterans to have a stamp on their driver’s license showing. The claim is that it will help the VA to connect veterans to their benefits and give retailers an easy way to identify Vets when giving them discounts. This is just odd.

New Veteran's status stamp For Ohio Drivers
What is the connection between driving, Veteran status, and coupons? What in the world does the Ohio Department of Public Safety care about a Veteran’s shopping savings for? There a lot of unanswered questions in this release about the Veterans drivers license stamp.
I admit that I haven’t done the full research on this. All that I know is what they posted. The thing is, we should all be questioning everything our government does ESPECIALLY when they claim it’s all for our good or when it solves a problem that isn’t even there in the first place. Every government entity is screaming that they need more money, but somehow they decide that a Veteran getting a coupon is the top priority? That doesn’t make sense. Did someone at public safety think, “If I just had a way to make sure every Vet had an easy way to get 50 cents off a Peanut Buster Parfait at Dairy Queen, Ohio would be much safer.”?
The Director of Ohio’s Deparment of Public Safety, Thomas Charles states, “We are proud to offer this no-cost way of recognizing those who have served.” It’s not a no-cost way. There was programming involved to get the status into the system that had a cost. There is time involved to process the required documents at the BMV to prove Veteran status that cost money every time a request is made. There will be fraud on this system that will need to be investigated that will cost money. These are just a few costs that I can think of off the top of my head.
Ohio Department of Veterans Services Director Tom Moe and previous employee of Homeland Security states, “Our department’s principal goal is to connect veterans to their benefits, and this will help us identify our veterans while possibly providing them with a very helpful benefit.” Tom Moe is a very distinguished veteran. I really doubt that he would do anything he didn’t think was beneficial to our country. I still have to question what problem there was connecting Veterans to benefits before this program. A Vet simply takes his DD-214 down to the VA office, hands it to them and they verify that he is who he says with multiple documents. It’s been done this way successfully for years. Now, the BMV is going to just take a look at a DD-214, type it into the state’s database, then print it on a driver’s license. How does this help a Vet’s connection to benefits?
I think I’ll pass on my handy discount card from the BMV. To many things just seem wrong with this. I would prefer to just pay the same price that everyone else does and save money by:
- Having Public Safety do just that, keep the public safe. No need to get in the coupon business.
- Have the VA keep their records internal. No need for them to get in the coupon business either. Work on getting some straight answers to applicants of benefits if a better “connection” needs made.
I don’t want to consider what the real reason that the Ohio Department Of Public Safety wants a connection in the BMV database that can quickly show the address, photo, and every other piece of information on Veterans with a drivers license.
Never Forget 9/11? Who’s Forgetting?
I know people mean well when they say never forget 9/11, but seriously, who’s forgetting?
Yes, I remember where I was. A typical nice cool September day in Michigan delivering a truckload of Budweiser. I was listening to Howard Stern partake of his liberty with his freedom of speech. At first I thought it was a joke, but there was no hint of it in their dialogue. A few minutes into it, these jokers were doing a better job at reporting than what I heard on the national 24 hour news outlets later. I distinctly remember them reporting, “We know who did it, it’s the damn towel heads that did it!”. No kidding.
A few hours into the events, a message came across the truck’s Qualcomm, “U.S. attacked. Terror Alert. All trucks guard your loads.”. Nobody really knew what was going to happen next. The company I was with had 13 trucks in the immediate area of the World Trade Centers.
We all knew who it was. We all know who it will be in the future. We know because they come to our country and make no effort to deny that they hate us. How hard is it to figure out? Oh, it could have been someone like McVey right? No. McVey attacked a single government target right after The Clinton Administration had done all they could to inflame anyone on the fringes with Waco.
To this day, I still respect Howard Stern and his cast for being the only ones in the media to just come out and say it with no apologies. What’s to apologize for?
So who’s forgetting and who’s forgetting what. The media seems to have amnesia. They don’t want you to see the film footage any more than they and the government sees fit. They want to tell you that Americans are to pay the price with loss of liberties from the Patriot Act, groping in the airports, and a whole list of indignities and revoked rights that the average American has. The system wants you to feel safe in it’s overbearing protective stance while they label anyone who recognizes the real enemy as a bigoted hatemonger. In short they prefer that you shut up and turn a blind eye. They’ll take care of it with your dollars and you just do what you’re told. They’re keeping you safe you know?
So in the 10 years since the attack the U.S. government has been infiltrated by some people that have no respect for the Constitution and they’ve ravaged our economy. I’m not forgetting when these people got the green light to do what they’d been yearning to do for many years before. I’m not forgetting at all. I’m not forgetting who’s paying the ultimate price for all of this. I’m not forgetting where we were then and I’m not turning a blind eye to where we are now.
It would seem like some sort of psychological trick. Why would the mantra, “Never Forget!”, be repeated over and over for an event that I’m sure nobody is ever going to forget? Is there a certain version that we’re supposed to never forget? In the process of never forgetting, take the time to learn about the events that have occurred after as well.
Here is the broadcast that I heard that morning. No other radio stations had the coverage in the area. At that time, the only New York syndicated radio show that reached the rural area was Howard Stern. I consider myself lucky. Who would have thought a comedian like Stern could have done a good job at a time like this? As I listen to these old broadcasts, I certainly will never forget.

Obama Sets the Stage for Another Cliffhanger.
If your politics are left, you can read the news about Obama’s claim that Social Security payments may not go out August 3rd here, otherwise you can read another version to the 2011 Social Security crisis here. Either way, the words are the same and it will what impact this will have on everyone. Even if the checks keep coming, just the fact that the President spoke these words changes everything.
If the left wins, Social Security checks will go out, but the money received will start a nosedive in the value of the dollar. If the right wins the payments will not be made and we will feel an immediate crash as the economy begins to make long overdue severe corrections. If there’s a compromise, we get a little less of the same scenarios. Either way I have to wonder if others understand what we’re facing now.
Obama is just using Social Security for the shock value to the largest possible voting base. The truth of the matter is that the United States has never been in this bad of a position before. Nobody knows what will happen. The only certainty for the vast majority of is that things are going to get very difficult in the future. Some haven’t even noticed, others have been struggling since the beginning of the depression 4 years ago. Some are in between and think it’s still just a really big recession.
If you think it’s only the recipients that are dependent on this steady flow of cash, I would say you’re wrong. If you think that Social Security is the only program that will have an abrupt stop, you’re wrong. It will be up to the government to decide what stops: student loans, military wages, any program funded by the Federal government stands a good chance of stopping. I hope I’m wrong, but this could become one of the most serious and dangerous crisis in our lifetime.
Considering the repeated history of the Obama administration of -
- Create a crisis involving any law that is not “progressive”.
- Create a solution that requires executive action to override the law of the land in order to correct the crisis.
I would say this is going to be a rough situation.

Sometimes Determination Doesn’t Pay Off
Police Taser Gun Image via Wikipedia
Determination is usually a good thing, but sometimes prioritizing your goals is more important. In the case of the naked man tasered at Cincinnati, Ohio’s Flying Pig Race, I’d say keeping your pants on should have taken priority over finishing the race.
It is interesting that this guy let the threat of being tasered naked fall be trumped by finishing a race. Can a person get that motivated or was he just enjoying making a spectacle of himself? If he was enjoying the attention he was getting, then that took priority over the warnings from police. Most likely, he was to stupid to realize the threat. It’s a question to ponder, but I’m sure the police aren’t spending much time questioning their final decision on the matter.
I do question the use of a taser here though. Tasers were introduced as an alternative to lethal force by a gun. Now, they’re just used to stop a nuisance, like a naked runner, that isn’t a physical threat to anyone. I can’t decide who’s more sick and twisted, the runner or the police. Sure the runner was stupid, but if the police start tasering stupid people, they’re going to wear out the taser guns in a day. Think of this, if the tasers were being used to stop a threat, the other officers would have been forced to also taser the officer who was tasering the naked runner who was not a threat.

Our Broke Government Still Has Resources to Pick on the Amish
The Amish are being busted like drug dealers for selling raw milk. While we’re telling the rich they need to pay more taxes and the poor that their taking to many resources, somehow our over-reaching government finds the resources to go bust Amish dairy farmers like they’re selling crack. So just how deadly is this raw milk that our ancestors seemed to survive just fine on for ages?
Judging strictly on my own opinion, I wouldn’t drink it. I have no problem with pasteurized milk. If I did, I would consider raw milk. I’ve watched a friend who couldn’t drink milk due to lactose intolerance happily swig down a huge glass of raw milk. He continues to drink and feels just fine. It raises an eyebrow when you know that pasteurization causes problems for some people. There are numerous testimonies from others for everything from tooth decay to alleviating allergy symptoms. The FDA claims that these are just anecdotal and lack any scientific evidence.
The dangers are that the milk will contain disease and bacteria. Some of the bacteria is drug resistant and the diseases are serious. So serious that armed raids need to take place at 5 a.m. to shut these milk dealers down! It should be easy to stop production and go through legal proceedings if a farm presents a danger without any scare tactics. If this milk is so dangerous, clear evidence would be easy to present. I think that they need to the forceful raids to scare the other dairy farmers because the evidence is lacking and may prove the contrary of the FDA’s findings.
We’d all like to believe that the FDA is seriously just doing their job. Unfortunately, there is financial motive for them to back their claims that many claim to be false. The problem with believing the FDA is that their actions lack any compassion or common sense. This is milk afterall, not cocaine or heroin. There are entire Amish communities that drink their own milk and have for generations. The Amish life expectancy is the same as the rest of the population and their number 1 killer is heart disease. If this were as dangerous as crack, it would be self-evident. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that the FDA is full of shit, especially considering their attacks on the Amish.
There is a real problem when the FDA feels free to act like this. They’re not worried about the public’s backlash for gun drawn raids on peaceful dairy farmers and that’s a red flag to me. Common sense be damned, they’ve got a serious bacteria situation right? Everyone on that farm drinks it, they’re alive and healthy, but there is a grave danger that warrants a terrorizing 5 a.m. raid? Were this a true concern, the FDA would be educating the public and the farmers, proving any myths to be wrong, and proving that this isn’t just a way to protect the big business interest in the matter.
So where’s the financial interest causing the conspiracy. To me, it’s simple. Pasteurized milk has a very long shelf life compared to the mere 2-3 days that raw milk has. That’s pretty much all I need to know. This alone would send milk prices skyrocketing on a big business level. The only possible way to sell milk would be on a local level with this type of shelf life. I can’t think of any product that isn’t extremely expensive which only has a 2-3 day shelf life.
Others go quite a bit deeper in the conspiracy. They claim that the government doesn’t want us to be strong and resistant to disease and bacteria. The claim is that a weaker society is easier to control. They claim that there’s to much profit in that too. This is about as crazy as the goons busting dairy farms with guns drawn isn’t it?
When the FDA is acting as crazy, if not crazier, than the conspiracy crowd, it’s time to shut them down. The federal government has no Constitutional power to enforce bans on food products. It’s simply not there. Local government can have that power and if they did, it would be obvious to detect any danger in areas that allowed raw milk. All that we have now is an agency led by someone who was appointed as a political favor to decide for us and to force her point by using nothing less than the barrel of a gun.

The Audacity of President Who Never Worked a Real Job
I was amazed at the audacity of our second President that never held a real job telling the workers of the country what they need to do. His solution to all of our problems, invent stuff. He did this right before he allowed the Paramount Leader of China to ceremoniously plant their flag on Washington. For those who don’t know, China really, really wants us to invent more stuff as their population sorely lacks the ability.
China’s ancient history is so full of inventions that it would be difficult to list them, but their Communism pretty much squashed all of that. As they’ve moved towards what our Progressives consider political utopia, they’ve had some slight gains, but overall, Communism kicks the ingenuity right out of the population.
Why does Obama want us to invent stuff? Because China told him to tell us to invent stuff. Obama doesn’t know the first thing about invention or improving processes. He’s never done anything to remotely give him insight on this and neither has any of his administration. Look at who he just put in charge of The Council On Jobs And Competitiveness, Jeff Imelt. Imelt is the President of GE, the largest outsourcing company in the United States. Obama’s plan is revealed with this appointment. That plan is that he has no plan, other than to hope we invent stuff for the fat cats to skim off of and China to make and sell back to us.
It’s nice to know that the U.S. still as the ability to invent better than any other country, but they’ve stole the right for it to benefit those who invent. Yes, many nations have some cool inventions, but they lack the simplicity and utility that Americans know how to do. The car wasn’t invented here, but we simplified the process to create one. Guns weren’t invented here, but we gave the people rights to own them and we simplified the process to make them available. Electricity, I think that one’s pretty much all our’s. I could go on.
So who’s up for inventing something for the good of the People’s Republic Of China’s benefit?

3/5th’s a Person? Really?
Glenn Beck made a very profound statement about the Constitution’s history of calling a slave 3/5th’s of a person. In part of the indoctrination that we all went through, I remember my teachers spending an inordinate amount of time telling us how evil all of the white people were. The 3/5th’s of a person rule was supposed to really make a point about just how evil white folks were. “We didn’t even consider them a full person!”, yeah right.
Glenn Beck showed how this wasn’t true in the respect that we didn’t consider them full people, but that their representation was only worth 3/5th’s of a vote. There was a strong Abolitionist movement that didn’t want their vote counted at all. It was the slave owners that wanted their vote counted. As a slave, their vote was certain to be whatever their master told them to vote. For most, it was illegal for them to read, let alone vote. A full vote for a slave would have weakened the Abolitionist position in Congress as they worked to free the slaves.
I have never heard that argument. I doubt any blacks have heard that argument. I can’t find any opposition to it. I would assume that it really destroys the idea that only a tiny minority of whites opposed slavery. There would have had to have been at least enough opposition to make an obvious compromise on the representation of slaves at the polls. I don’t think anyone could have pulled the 3/5th’s idea out of thin air. It’s an obvious compromise.
All of this is irrelevant when one considers that whites have fought for the end to slavery and the progression of equal rights since before the inception of the country to modern times. What a disservice it is for the left to constantly state that the majority of whites are racists. It’s as if they have a motive to look for reason to split the nation in any way that they can. They need their voting block to have an enemy. If there is no enemy, one is created.
As for Glenn Beck, you bet he has some ideas that are out there, and for this he is constantly mocked and called an idiot(or some derivative of the word). I listen to his show frequently and nearly every time he states something, he requests that you check the facts out for yourself. He’ll tells you what his opposition says, what to reference to find that opposition, and why they oppose him. I would have never known that there was no racist intent with this statement without looking it up. If you want racist intent, it’s there, but it’s not with blacks it’s with Indians. Here’s a link that explains the Constitution on race a little deeper.
If you have the time, you can see the ridiculous responses from the left. All that I have found is the typical name calling and hateful responses that lack any substance to dispute the matter. I’ve seen Beck state some points of view that were way out there and this one seemed like one until further inspection. This time, Beck’s done a find job at exposing just how out of touch our public education is with the reality of our country’s history.

Napolitano Tells Afghans All About to Secure Borders.

- Image via Wikipedia
One could mistake this post about Janet Napolitano telling the Afghans how to secure borders as a joke on The Onion. You can almost see Karzai giving the obligatory nods and winks to the reporters. This is rich!
One has to wonder what our “homeland” security secretary is doing in Afghanistan anyhow. That’s not the “homeland”. I guess she hasn’t noticed our own border problems. I feel sorry for the vets that are not only dealing with a war, but also dealing with a visit from the woman who claims that returning veterans are actually a threat to our nation’s security.
The only good that could come from this is that Karzai and others may be able to explain to Janet Napolitano why borders are necessary, something that she fails to understand in her homeland.
