A Hot Summer Day On The Farm
I shouldn’t complain, it’s July, but it was hot. Only a fool would expect different in Ohio.
I took some friends up to Charm, Ohio to take care of some business and had the time to wonder around on the farm while I waited on them. The Amish were out in the heat working without missing a beat. I was sweating and swatting the flies. I had a good time and with some good hard-working folks today. A day on the farm brings back some great memories and puts things in perspective.

LOVE LOVE LOVE visiting the Amish Country and riding around during harvest season. Enjoy visiting Troyers for ice cream and always pick up cheese and dry goods. It has become a family tradition to start the day off at Boyd Wirthman’s (sp?)
There’s quite a bit up there besides just the tourist stuff once you start looking. I got to know some of the Amish and they’ve showed me some neat places. Licking County is starting to get more of them. South of Martinsburg, you have to look harder for the signs, but most of them are selling good stuff for much less than up north.
